Dr. Akhter Mohiuddin Rather is an accomplished academic and researcher with over nine years of teaching experience in Data Science and Machine Learning. Currently an Assistant Professor at the Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon, India, he specializes in courses such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Business Analytics for MBA students.
Dr. Rather holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science, with a focus on Machine Learning and Data Sciences, supported by a prestigious research fellowship from the Institute for Development & Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT) and the Reserve Bank of India.
He actively contributes to academia as a reviewer for esteemed journals, including Neurocomputing, European Journal of Operational Research, and Applied Soft Computing. Dr. Rather’s consulting experience spans technical guidance in AI methodologies as Chief Scientist Mentor at eTown and advisory roles with organizations such as the Institute of Actuaries of India and the National Science Center, Poland.
